Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and or/ DBA Chicago Engines sells a wide variety of Marine Engines to both the public and to over twenty different marinas throughout Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. Each block is remanufactured to Marine specifications with brass freeze plugs installed after the block is thermally cleaned inside and out. The blocks are bored, honed and cracked checked for any cracks anywhere on the Engine block. Each cylinder head is cleaned, crack checked and pressure tested according to its individual need. The heads are resurfaced, valves and seats are cut with new shims and seals used. The valves and seats are also vacuum tested for insurance of proper sealing. Crankshafts are clean, polished and machined based upon condition of all journals. Each Marine Engine is remanufactured with brand new Marine parts such as new pistons, rings, new cast iron Marine camshafts, heavy duty timing sets, rod bearings, main bearings and cam bearings. The engines come with new Marine gasket sets and oil pumps.

You must replace oil cooler and oil cooler lines in order to avoid oil contamination witch will occur if your previous engine failed with bearing material and oil mixing. It would also be wise to replace the oil pick tube and oil pan as well, because it tends to be difficult to clean these parts after a bearing failure.
